Before you Tan
Within 8 hours prior to your session:
1.)Exfoliate with oil free products.
(pay attention to dry areas like feet, knees, and elbows)
2.)Remove all toiletries such as makeup, deorderant, and lotions.
(There cannot be any barriers on skin. These will affect the development of your tan)
**I advise using our exfoliating wipes, that PH balances, removes oils, residues, and any dry skin.
3) Shave 24 hours prior to tanning with a sharp razor. Remove as much hair as possible.
4.)Wax 24-48 hours prior to tanning session
5.)Bring dark swimwear or undergarments for the tanning session. (Do not bring your best pair)
6.)Wear dark, loose fitting clothing when you come in, including flip flops.
(Bras, tight straps and tight clothing can affect the tan)
7.)Remove jewelry before beginning
During your Tan
1.)Wear dark under garments or bathing suit during your tanning session.
(The solution only comes out of natural fabrics, no synthetic)
2.)Use our disposable earplugs, nose plugs or face mask.
After your Session
1/) I will dry you after your session. You may still be a bit sticky because it is sugar based. It will get better around an hour after session.
2.)Do not wear tight-fitting clothes or undergarments, as this will cause the solution to rub off your skin.
4.) Be careful touching anywhere on your body or anyone having any physical contact with you until you rinse off. The bronzor will rub off of you and onto them.
3.)To give the tanning solution enough time to work, avoid showering, exercising and other ways of sweating or getting wet (such as washing your hands or even letting your dog lick you!) for eight hours.
4.)When you do shower, the cosmetic bronzer will wash off. Don't worry! This is not your tan.
(Our Norvell and Extended Vacation tan
extender lotions will help your spray tan sustain for up to 2 weeks. Use tan extenders daily after showering.)
5.)Moisturizing is the key element to maintaining a tan far longer than with dry skin, so be sure to moisturize, moisturize, and mositurize daily with a mineral oil free lotion. This is key to maintaining a healthy tan.
6.)If you're going to be in the sun, use sun block with an SPF and with no mineral oils
( I recommend Banana Boat- cream based)
7.)Avoid long, hot showers or baths and harsh scrubbing, and pat your skin dry.
8.)Keep a towel handy in case the cosmetic bronzer comes off before you can shower, such as in your car.
9.)When you sleep, use dark sheets or blankets, as some of the bronzer may
rub off overnight. It will come out of natural fabrics-no synthetic.
***Norvell face tanners are ideal for keeping the color in your face and touch ups; your color will be restored in under two hours!
***If you plan on going on an extended vacation, and especially if you plan to be swimming, use our Norvell Tanning Mousse in place of tan extenders.
Like every other tan, an airbrush tan lasts longer the better you take care of it!

Tanning Tips
I'
Activities to Avoid
1.)Anti-aging and acne treatments (including skin bleaching cream, salicylic acid, microdermabrasion, serums and toners containing alcohol or witch hazel, Retin-A, skin bleaching cream and others) can cause tans to fade.
Any type of harsh rubbing, waxing, dull razor blades, bleaching, and other abrasive skin treatments and applications will fade your tan more quickly.
Avoid hot tubs and any other form of hot water. The chlorine and any additional chemicals will strip you of your tan in half an hour.
Quick dips in pools and the ocean are OK, but extended swims can fade your tan. I recommend using Norvell Self Tanning Mousse.
